FAQ

Is everything really free?
Yes. Every course, every coaching session, every credit review — 100% free to eligible veterans and military families. Silent Honor is funded by donors, not the veterans we serve. There are no hidden fees, no upsells, and no subscription required.
Do I need a good credit score to work with you?
Absolutely not. Most of the people we serve have credit challenges — that's exactly why we exist. We work with veterans at every starting point. The lower your score, the more we can help. Zero judgment, ever.
What branches of service do you serve?
All of them. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, and Reserve — plus surviving spouses and immediate family members. Every era of service is welcome.
Are you a credit repair company?
No. We are a nonprofit financial education and coaching organization. We don't charge for credit services and we don't make promises we can't keep. We teach veterans how to understand and improve their own credit, and we coach them through the process — but we are educators and counselors, not a credit repair service.
Who does the coaching?
Coaching is led by Michael Lugenbell, a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) and Certified Credit Counselor with 7+ years of experience working with veterans and families. As we scale, all coaches added to the team will hold equivalent professional credentials.
Can I donate to support the mission?
Yes — and we're deeply grateful for it. Donations are what make free programs possible. Silent Honor Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) and all contributions are tax-deductible. Visit our donate page or reach out directly.
